High Chairs

In Clean, Feed, Protect by Kari

I haven’t tried many different high chairs, but I know that the high chair aisle is like-whoa! How many contraptions do we need to strap our kid in just to eat?! You can go with style preference if you want, but here are just a few things to consider when picking a high chair:

  1. CLEANUP: How easy does it clean up? Is the material easy to wipe down? Can you remove the seat padding for a good machine wash?
  2. TRANSITIONAL: Does it “grow with your child?” Some high chairs come with a booster seat for when they are older and transition easily to different stages/ages. For example, the high chair we ended up with was the Graco Blossom 4 in 1 high chair seating system. It goes from young infant to youth chair.

We’ve noticed that some new models have a “storage pouch” that attaches to the back. Not a bad idea for bibs and some of the other feeding gear you might have.

Bottom line: evaluate your space at home and have fun picking out a color.

Remember, too, that we talked about an awesome and compact (fit in your purse) travel high chair in our post on Travel.
